Thunderstruck Drinking Game
The Thunderstruck drinking game uses one song, "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. Every time the band sings "thunder," the drinking passes to the next person in the circle.
The song is under five minutes, but the word comes up fast and then disappears for long stretches. Somebody always gets stuck drinking through the guitar solo.

How to Play Thunderstruck
Setup: Sit in a circle and pick a starting player. Cue up "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC.
How to play: Press play. When you hear the first "thunder," the starting player begins drinking. They keep drinking until the next "thunder," then stop, and the player to their left starts drinking. Keep passing around the circle on every "thunder" until the song ends.
The opening chant has a lot of quick "thunders," so drinks pass fast at first. Then comes a long stretch with none, and whoever is drinking then has to keep going.
Tips
- Sip, do not chug. The long stretches can last more than a minute.
- Spread out the slow drinkers so the quiet part of the song does not land on one person.
- Play the studio version. Live versions change the timing.
